Thomas has more than 20 years of experience from consulting, and his strengths are strategic transformation of companies, development of operating models and cross-functional optimisation of the entire organisation’s delivery system to ensure it supports the company strategy. Thomas has extensive experience with publicly owned companies in transition to market conditions, and his experience with sparring at C-suite level and consultation in transformation processes is very broad.
What do you think is the most interesting dilemma on the business agenda right now?
The digitalisation agenda will have major consequences, and there is a lot of hype on the market. There will also be many opportunities, which are not necessarily about disruption, but which will be sure to drive many strategic and operational challenges. It is both interesting and important to our clients and to us as HOW consultants.
The best advice someone ever gave to you?
My grandfather always said, “Take responsibility for your job as if you owned the company – then you will end up owning the company.” There is a lot of effect in transferring these words to your consulting job.
What does The HOW mean to you?
To me, The HOW is the essence of Valcon, and this is where we differentiate ourselves from many of our colleagues in the industry. Many of our clients acknowledge this. But it cannot stand alone. It is deeply anchored in who we are as individuals in Valcon, our culture, and what drives us. It is about our professional competences, our skills in conscious change management and our ability to connect with our clients and potential partners in the market. I am looking forward to being part of driving this process forwards, also outside the Danish borders.
To me, Valcon means incredibly inspiring colleagues, enormous personal synergy, high integrity, my platform for having an influence out in the world.
